Providing full traceability, Oritain™ uses advanced isotype technology to identify the country of origin of a fibre of wool. It achieves this by comparing a fibre’s unique ‘fingerprint’ against samples we’ve collected not just from our wool farms across New Zealand, but also from farms around the world.

For customers using special wools where traceability is paramount, we have measured and recorded the wool from each farm and measured and compared the finished products so the consumer can be absolutely certain of the farming standards behind their wool.

 

This ability to prove provenance at any stage of production, allows us to protect textile and retail brands, as well as our own, from false claims and fraudulent activity.
